PUSCIFER'S CARINA ROUND NABS BRIAN ENO, BILLY CORGAN, DAVE STEWART FOR 'TIGERMENDING' LP
Carina Round isn't exactly a huge name in her own right, but the England-born, Los Angeles-based songwriter managed to rope in some big-name collaborators for her latest album, Tigermending, which comes out on May 1 through Dehisce Records.
Round, who is a touring member of Puscifer, nabbed Brian Eno, Billy Corgan, and Eurythmics member Dave Stewart as collaborators for the new LP. Stewart and Eno will guest on the album track The Secret Of Drowning, while Corgan appears on Got To Go - The L.A Song - 2000 Years BC Mix.
Of these contributors, Round said in a statement, "Making my home in the creative circus of Los Angeles has allowed me the profound opportunity to develop a loving and supportive community of brilliant musicians, artists, photographers, videographers and other collaborators. I've been fortunate to work with and learn from some of my favorite artists old and new, which has opened me up to new roads of expression."
According to the songwriter, the styles found on Tigermending range from "guitar ragers, acoustic beauties, electronic epics, a little prog moment and all the good stuff in between with a strong backbone running through the whole record."
Round will be building some pre-release hype for Tigermending when she hits the road with Puscifer once again, opening each show in addition to singing with the headliner. The trip includes stops in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.
