PHIL MANZANERA: DIAMOND HEAD

With Roxy Music back on the road, here's a timely reminder there was more to them than Bryan Ferry and Brian Eno: Phil Manzanera's sinuous, intelligent guitar-playing was crucial too.

His 1975 solo album Diamond Head, newly remastered, places him on the Eno wing of the band (indeed, Eno guests): an agile mediator between far-out avant-pop and catchier fare.
