CITY MUSICIANS RECEIVE HOUSE OF COMMONS AWARD

Lancaster electro-rock trio The Feud were picked by a top music producer to receive an award at the Houses of Parliament.

Jamie Walker, Luke Paget and Stephen Mildwater were chosen by U2 and Coldplay producer Brian Eno from five thousand hopefuls to receive the Curator's Choice award for their latest single This Is Love.

The award was part of the Noise Festival, a charity that recognises unsigned bands and artists in the UK.

Jamie Walker said: "Basically we submitted our song This Is Love to a competition run by an organisation called Noise. They put on showcases and conventions for music, art, comedy and poetry amongst other things.

"They try to give opportunities to unsigned or undiscovered talent.

"It was great to have the song recognised by people who are very high up in the industry."

The band has had a busy summer playing across Europe, and received the award last Tuesday, September 9.
