CLUSTER & ENO: CLUSTER & ENO / ENO MOEBIUS ROEDELIUS: AFTER THE HEAT

Cluster's Dieter Moebius and Hans-Joachim Roedelius were avant-gardist krautrockers credited as early pioneers of ambient music, but their 1977 collaborations with Brian Eno, the genre's other godfather, are surprisingly melodic. Cluster & Eno is sublimely beautiful and of a piece, while After The Heat is more stylistically diverse and includes vocals by Eno. Hard to believe punk was erupting while this music was being made.
