THE LIGHTING OF THE SAILS
Sydney Opera House, Australia

6.00PM, MAY 26, 2009: This evening, Sydneysiders are witness to the opening night of Brian Eno's lighting of the Sydney Opera House sails. Employing "some of the biggest projectors in the world, which are situated around the edges of the Harbour", the images - produced using a modified version of Eno's 77 Million Paintings generative software application - shine across the waters and onto the sails, creating a slowly changing kaleidoscope of shapes and colours.

Below is a Quicktime VR panorama of the lighting of the sails. Use the "shift" and "control" keys to zoom in and out; click and drag to navigate around the panorama.
